Peak control that does not sound like peak control
The MPL-2 is a peak and high-frequency limiter — two jobs, both of them thankless, both of them essential. It catches the transients that would otherwise force a digital limiter to work far too hard, and it tames sibilance and cymbal spikes before they reach the converter.

Why it matters before the digital stage
Every decibel of peak the MPL-2 removes cleanly is a decibel the brickwall limiter does not have to remove badly. Masters that pass through it hold their punch at higher loudness targets because the final limiter is barely engaging.
Vinyl work
The HF limiter section is invaluable for lacquer cuts, where uncontrolled high-frequency energy can literally exceed what a cutting head will accept. We use it here on almost every vinyl master.
Hardware info
Another low-volume Maselec build, priced accordingly, and effectively irreplaceable in our workflow.
